Swamp Buttercup - Ranunculus hispidus/Ranunculus septentrionalis
Flowers are a conspicuous, glossy yellow.
Swamp Buttercup grow in soggy areas of woodlands, along vernal pools, swamps, seeps and areas along springs.
Although some authors treat it as a distinct species, others consider it to be a subspecies of Ranunculus hispidus.
Other names: Hispid Buttercup, Rough Buttercup, bristly buttercup
