Sulfur Cinquefoil - Potentilla recta
Sulfur Cinquefoil is an introduced, naturalized plant that grows from 16' - 32" tall.
Flowers are pale yellow and are about 3/4" wide. They are in loose clusters at the top of the plant and the end of stems.
They have five heart-shaped petals and five hairy green sepals, 25 to 30 stamens with yellowish anthers, and a bright yellow receptacle with numerous pistils.
Sulfur Cinquefoil blooms June - August.
