Spearmint flowers are small and pink/white with 4 stamens that are slightly longer than petals.
The flowers grow in dense whorls forming a slender, terminal spike that is 1"-4 1/2" long .
Spearmint has a square-shaped stem with opposing, toothed leaves that are stalkless.
Spearmint grows 1-3' tall and favors wet meadows and streambanks. It blooms blooms July-Oct.
