Pussytoes - Antennarias (Native)
There are 8 (more or less) species and subspecies of Pussytoes in Dane County, Wisconsin. I cannot be sure, but I believe the photos on this page are of Field Pussytoes (Antennaria neglecta) and/or Parlin's pussy-toes (Antennaria parlinii) and/or Howell's pussy-toes (Antennaria howellii ).
The Pussytoes with pinkish flowers are most probably Field Pussytoes (also where they were found – at edge of a field next to a prairie). The Pussytoes next to Pasque Hill have a more whitish flower head (but that could also be because of the time of year they were photographed.
Blooms April - June.
