Pasque flower - Anemone patens (Spring Ephemeral)
The Pasque flower is a native plant that grows between 4"- 6" tall. The Pasque flower like dry to moderate mosture like closely grazed hillsides, prairies, cliffs.
The flowers are 5-7 parted, blue to white, petal-like sepals that bloom solitary, long, hairy stalks. The flower has numerous yellow stamens surrounding a light green columnar center.
The Pasque flower blooms March - May.
