Leadplant - Amorpha canescens
The Leadplant is a native plant that likes full sun and prefers dryer habitats like prairies and savannas. It is branching and speading and grows to about 3 feet in height.
Leadplant can be identified by its small purple flowers grouped in long spikes and its grey-green leaflets that are alternate and pinnately compound.
Leadplant blooms from June through July.
