Lake Wingra on July 19, 2020.

 
Four Haiku

 

It's Seventy-nine.

Water lilies choke boat pier.

Bullfrogs loving it.



Sidewalk not safe path.

Runners and bikes do not warn –

and do not wear masks.



Cup plants rising up –

with gold blooms and leaves like sinks.

The perfect rain trap.



A Great Blue Heron.
