Haiku

Lake Wingra on April 24, 2020.

Four Haiku

Forty and light rain.

Lake Wingra is monotone.

Kayaks give color.

Looking down I see –

little signs of spring emerge.

Small secret flowers.

First, Creeping Charlie –

then, Wisconsin's state flower –

the Wood Violet.

Nakoma's tenth hole.

Sandtrap on left – stream on right,

Sandills on the green.
