Four Haiku
Thirty-nine degrees.
Scattered clouds and cool, brisk wind.
Laconic bird talk.
Birders are lurking –
with their zoom lens cameras –
on the hunt for shot.
Like hanging laundry –
at woods' edge and by Duck Pond –
Dutchman Britches bloom.
Plentiful as squill –
Virginia Bluebells do grow –
almost everywhere.
