Five Haiku
It is Good Friday.
Not religious. But looks like –
it's a good Friday.
Brisk, sunny morning.
American coots back.
Loons not to be seen.
It's thirty degrees.
Sun reflects off white gull wings –
making white whiter.
White Bloodroot blooms closed –
to protect from the night's cold.
Will open later.
Mergansers swim out –
from the more tightly packed coots.
Social distancing.
