Five Haiku

 

Thirty-eight degrees.

Turkeys hang out on Spring Trail.

Eatting then strutting.

Canada geese fly –

and swim and honk and shake necks.

Doing what geese do.

Four loons cruise offshore,

disappearing a long time –

beneath lake surface.

Two loons are a thing.

Other two maintain distance.

Maybe they'll meet up.

Siberian Squill –

beautiful but invasive –

in Wisconsin state.
