Three Haiku

 

Thirty-seven degrees.

Lone man casting off of dock.

People with dogs walk.



Muskrat paddles fast –

out of cattails – past two geese –

farther into lake.



Winter Aconite –

blooms so yellow – so early.

Contrasts with snowdrops.
