Four Haiku
Woodpeckers pecking.
They peck peck peck – peck peck peck.
All morning long – they peck.
Four Sandhills in park.
One couple is asked to leave.
They fly off silent.
Hawk perched on tree limb –
vigilantly scouts for meal –
or just takes a break?
Just right of Duck Pond –
a rafter of wild turkeys –
standing in silence.
