Laurel Blair Salton Clark - Medical doctor, United States Navy Captain and NASA astronaut; born March 10, 1961 in Ames, Iowa but considered Racine, Wisconsin to be her hometown. Clark graduated from William Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin and received both her bachelor of science degree and doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Clark was a medical doctor, United States Navy Captain, NASA astronaut and Space Shuttle mission specialist who was killed in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
