Canada Thistle - Cirsium arvense ( Introduced - naturalized; ecologically invasive and noxious weed)
Canada Thistle is a perennial, flowering plant that grows 1 - 4' tall.
Spines are on the edges of the leaves. No spines on stems and no prickly spines on the light pink flower heads that are about the size of the tip of your pinky finger.
Canada Thistle seeds are very fluffy.
Canada Thistle is highly aggressive. With its creeping roots, it can form large, dense colonies. Restricted Invasive - Eradicate!
Blooms: June-Oct.
Other names include: Creeping thistle, Field thistle (Not to be confused with Field Thistle (Cirsium discolor).
