Sweet Indian Plantain - Hasteola suaveolens
Sweet Indian Plantain is a native perennial that grows grows from 3' to 5' tall (sometimes higher). Sweet Indian Plantain prefers wet locations like meadows and streambanks.
The cream/white cylindrical flowers appear in a flt top umbrel that might have 20 -40 flower heads.
Blooms from July through August.
Other Names: Hastate Indian-plantain, false Indian plantain, sweet scented Indian plantain
Latin: Hasteola: spear-shaped. Refers to Sweet Indian Plantain's spear-shaped leaves.
