William H. Rehnquist.

William Hubbs Rehnquist - 16th Chief Justice of the United States; was born October 1, 1924 in Shorewood, Wisconsin (a suburb of Milwaukee). Rehnquist graduated from Shorewood High School in 1942.

Rehnquist attended Kenyon College, in Gambier, Ohio, for one quarter in the fall of 1942, before entering the U.S. Army Air Forces. He served from March 1943 – 1946, mostly in assignments in the United States.
After the war ended, Rehnquist attended Stanford University with assistance under the provisions of the G.I. Bill.

Rehnquist served as Chief Justice of the United States from September 25, 1986 until his death on September 3, 2005.
