Black Mustard - Brassica nigra (Introduced/Naturalized)
Black Mustard can grow from 6" to 60" in height. The flowers have four bright yellow petals that are about 1/3" across. There are four narrow yellow sepals behind the petals. The flowers cluster at the tip of stems.
Black Mustard likes to grow in disturbed sites like fields. Seed pods hold close to the stem below the flower clusters.
Blooms: June - September.
