Authentic Wisconsin.  Eric Benét

Eric Benét was born on October 15, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Eric Benét - R&B, soul and neo soul singer, songwriter, actor; born Eric Benét Jordan on October 15, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Benét attended The Lynde and Harry Bradley Technology and Trade School (also known as Bradley Tech), a high school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin whose alumni also includes Bob "Mr. Baseball" Uecker.

In 1984, Eric teamed up with his sister, Lisa, to form a vocal duo band called Benet (ba-nay). This led to them recording basement demos and sending them out to record companies. In the late 80's, they hooked-up with Gerard Entertainment Group, a Milwaukee production firm and Eric began performing with a local band called Gerard, and Lisa with a band called Beat Crazy.

They performed with the bands for three years, and during their off days, they would be record in the Gerard facilities; eventually releasing a self-titled debut album on EMI Records around October 1992. The Benet album didn't do well and charted only one single. Lisa Jordan went back into private life. Eric went on to create his breakthrough album, True to Myself, that was released in 1996.
